So become present to it; become aware of its presence within you. That is the only thing that lasts. That is the only thing worth possessing, owning, and listening to, for that is the part of you that is a part of God. It is the kernel of wisdom within the husk of physicality. Therefore what else is there worth cherishing? The rest is naught. Heed the old saying, “What good does it do a man to gain the whole world if in so doing he loses his own soul?”. Call it what you will — Atman, Spirit, Super-_consciousness — call it what you will, but it is what remains — eternally young, eternally wise, eternally free.

Create a space in your home where it engenders communication with that which Is.

Become a whole man/woman in constant communication with that which you really are. Perhaps the realization of this truth will enable you to be more aware of that which is eternal within you. In all the processing, receiving, input and output of this seeming existence, you are not touching base with the Touchstone, and it’s getting further and further from the mind to do so. It’s so frantic, hectic, and erratic here that the simple truth of “Know Thyself” has been lost. Stop everything for at least a few minutes in every day and listen to the sound of Eternity. Feel the way Eternity feels. It’s not here today and gone tomorrow. It is always. Isn’t that worth taking time for — to experience Always, and to escape from the mundane, and to realize what you are really about?

Just be still. Be still and listen. What is it that you’re really supposed to be doing? In your haste, you’ve lost your way. In your busyness, you’ve disregarded truthfulness and wisdom. This is the age of communication in all its forms — cell phones, radio waves, television, instant happenings in your home from all over the world. Then why not take the time to communicate with that which is Eternal and never-changing? In this time of extreme tension and turbulence and unrest at all levels, it is so important to communicate with that which you really are. I don’t want to sound preachy, but it’s to your own advantage at this seeming time.

You needn’t become the hermit; you need only become aware. You needn’t become the aesthetic; you need only to trust that which Is. All things return to their Source, all things. We are talking here about your Source, the wellspring of your being, the crux of all you are, or will be, or ever have been. Don’t just roam through your life. Make a concerted effort to dwell with that which you truly are, and then all this other will fade away, and take the position of less importance.

Go beyond, reach the stars, reach the center of your universe, the center of your being. That’s the jewel to hold on to. That’s what is forever.
