Unconditional Love

When you have unconditional love for a person, it isn’t the same as emotional love. Emotional love is traumatic and exciting and uncontrollable. It’s part of the play. An interesting part but it is none the less very energy consuming and very much delights the emotional body. It gives you a rush and makes you needy. And that kind of love is strictly from this planet on that level.

Unconditional love is loving everybody the same whether they be whoever---brother, sister, daughter. You can’t be divine and God and be needy. It cancels out the power. It cancels out the wholeness. You’re whole as the ‘I AM’. You’re whole. Don’t buy into the other physical, emotional love because it’s a waste of time; it’s destructive on many occasions. You don’t want the emotional body in any way to take over. The only presence that you allow and give credence to is your own, your very own ‘I AM’ Self. That way you can’t be manipulated, you can’t be hurt, you can’t feel sympathy, you can’t feel need. You’re wholly independent and not dependent on another’s moods or generosity or whatever.

Next to sympathy, love, the way it is on this planet, can turn into hate in two minutes. It can be used to manipulate, the same as sympathy. It can be used to manipulate, to boss, to control. So you want to stay away from that area as much as you try to stay away from sympathy. Don’t forget, compassion is one thing, sympathy is another. Unconditional love is one thing, physical, emotional, needy love is another thing. They both eat up a tremendous amount of energy and they take a lot of your power away. And I don’t mean power to destroy or anything, I mean your own beingness, your own Self, your own divinity. It takes away from that because you take away from other’s moods, what the other one wants, what the other one doesn’t want. It’s all just playing a game, again the game of polarities and you want to get away from the game of polarities as far as that goes.
