Accepting Oneself |

Each and every one of us has developed a personality that has grown in large part from the constant conditioning of others. We have embraced negative as well as affirming perceptions of ourselves, until we have lost our Selves. | ||||||||

Until and unless you lovingly accept yourself — wholly, completely, totally — you cannot accept love from another, be they a god (one who realizes and claims his divinity) or another person. You, and only you, must pursue this as if it were the Holy Grail, for indeed my beloveds, it is. To truly love oneself, warts and all, is a very difficult thing to do on your plane, where everyone is in denial of what they truly are. But now is the time for you to jump that hurdle of unworthiness and then to accept and place around you your cape of divinity. You are divine. Nothing and no one can change that fact. And your error thoughts of what you are have got to stop. If you could but see yourselves as I see you! I perceive you as marvelous swirls of lights, colors, and energy, and because you’re encapsulated into a material shell or body, you accept limitations. In the very act of accepting a body, you accept limitations, and in the act of accepting limitations, you disenfranchise yourself. You accept others’ perceptions of what you are. Down through the ages you’ve accepted roles that reinforce these beliefs of who and what you are, but do you see that now you must disengage from these false beliefs!? - First of all, you accept who you truly are, with all of the glitches that are part of the totality that makes you... you. - The second step is patience. It’s going to take a lot of awareness not to repeat the patterns of accepting others’ perceptions of yourself. - The third step is affirming, standing and affirming,_“I_am perfect
just as I_am.” This lower opinion that each one of you has of yourself didn’t happen overnight. From the moment you were pulled from the safety of the womb, cut off from your supply, held upside down and walloped on the bottom, you have accepted restraints, admonitions, and laws — religious laws, civil laws, and societal laws. These were the building blocks of limitations, and now they must be slowly dismantled so that your true Self and the little self shine through and come forth in a new birth of your own choosing. If each one were living in an acceptance of himself, he wouldn’t need others for validation. There would be no conflicts, no jealousies, and no infighting in families. It is truly the great pearl of wisdom to Know Thyself. Then miracles can occur; then every thought can be instantly manifested. Realize that what is keeping you from that is your own opinion of who and what you are. You can perceive yourself as the sun, the moon and the stars, or you can perceive yourself as the unworthy guttersnipe who in his unworthiness cannot change things. What you see is what you get. In order to be whole, you must reclaim your divinity, nothing less. It’s a big loop — you’re going back to that from whence you came. In accepting these glitches or “less thans,” in loving and nurturing them, you experience great freedom: Freedom from Want - wanting to be something for someone else, and Freedom from Fear - fearing if others will accept you as you are. You need nothing when you can truly say I_AM and mean it. All your life you’ve been a receptacle of the ideas, the beliefs, the expectations, and the mores of others. In reality, you’ve never been without that. It’s so ingrained that now is the time for you to stop and cancel out all the previous incantations. And from this point on, stop accepting the constant bombardment of who, what, and where you’re supposed to be. Take a good look at all those people in your life whom you have tried to please. Look at all the people you have satisfied by conforming to their perceptions. They are actually the great authors of your life script. You’ve got to stand like a kernel of light, wholly accepting the beautiful, wonderful creation that you are, and leave all the other ideas and thoughts outside. Dwell within a cocoon of wholeness and love, and let all the other bounce off. This is a manifesto of how to become I_AM, and if you truly follow it and truly believe it, it will be-e-e-e-e-e-e for you. Make it real. As the inimitable Captain Kirk said, “Make it so!” You have to be a bulwark in a raging sea, because this negativity is coming at you from all angles. Forgive all the old programs, from the teachers to the parents, to the brothers, to the sisters, to the churches, to the friends, to the movies, to the books . . . Get out of the play; exit softly to the right. There’s only One, all a part of that sea of energy, manifesting in different guises. Posted in January, 2006. |
