Fear Is The Great Un-doer

Fear is the great un-doer. If you were to ask me the biggest enemy of man, it would be fear. Fear steals your dignity, your self worth, your decisions, your ability to love others, even your very ability to think. It pollutes and destroys the trust of that which is within you.

‘Fear not,’ was once said, ‘for I AM with thee.’ If you could live these words, you would have no fear of anything man could throw at you or nature could throw at you. You would have no fear. You would simply BE. And live in the moment, not the past and not the future. Learn to live in the moment. Because in the moment you have everything you need. In the moment there is no fear, everything just IS. Those people who have conquered that idea of future have lived a peaceful, harmonious life. Wanting nothing, expecting nothing, just living and enjoying what is in the moment. All of your teaching is to build for the future and to build your security in the future. Your security is in the moment. Try to train yourself, when you find yourself thinking of the future –‘next week I have to pay the bills; next week I to do…’---try to negate that thinking and live in the moment. As each thing comes up it will be handled. You need not anticipate because you’re affected by anticipating…fear or doubt or…worry about what’s going to happen. Then you don’t live NOW. And this is the only moment that there is, that there may ever be. So what good is there worrying about what you have to do next week? [It is] another waste of energy, another waste of thought. You could imagine and build a beautiful future by imagination. But don’t be living in the future in the way that you’re worried, anticipating of what you have to do. I hope I haven’t confused the issue.

Fear is what makes you fear the next moment, the future. You worry ‘Will I have enough money? Will I have enough time? Will I have enough energy? Will I have this? Will I have that?’ And there is only NOW, this moment. It’s a very wise old saying ‘Live in the moment!’
