Warts And All

Beloveds, I want you to love, accept and understand the part of you that you consider negative as all necessary to make up the whole. It’s not something that should be ignored, admonished, or buried. It’s a cumulative collection of experiences that the soul has undergone in its evolution.

It shouldn’t just be shunted aside as evil or less than. It’s what makes this complete, wonderful totality of what you are, what makes up you. The positive as well as the negative is what makes you a perfectly cut gem. Trying to be perfect is like trying to rob yourself of the real meaning of whom you really are. There is no such thing as a perfect diamond. There are unique things present in the diamond that gives it character, its preciousness in My sight. A perfect life is not necessarily a life well lived because the experience has been of limited scope and perhaps valueless as far as the growth of the soul is concerned. It’s better to have done everything, perhaps not perfectly, but who’s counting? It would be a bland personality you would be observing if everything were perfect. Rather boring actually. Better to have the bubbles of imperfection present and have the life be exuberant, effervescent, and spontaneous. Because when you bury what others perceive as evil or bad things, you’re not really living; you’re existing. And the creative word is Be. B-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e, no matter what that being holds for oneself. It’s like judging everything before you would do it, especially in the light of somebody else’s perceptions of what is good or isn’t. Then you squash all creativity because you’re afraid to do something “wrong.” What could be wrong about living in the moment? To live a life judged by a puritanical conscience would be dull to say the least. Embrace that part of you that gets angry. Embrace that part of you that loves, perhaps not wisely, but too well. Embrace the little flaws that make the whole picture. It’s healing for the soul. Accept yourself exactly the way you are, warts and all. For that is really the diamond of your beingness. There’s too much puritanical judging made. If you really notice, the more creative a person is, the more powerful, the more flaws he seemingly has. I’ll tell you, I’m all for flaws because each one of them is a scar from some other occurrence. And the scar is what gives you wisdom. And the scar is what gives you beauty. And the scar is what makes you whole.

So don’t shut off that part of you that you perceive as less than admirable, because that’s what makes you . . . you. And in all of the Oneness, you are uniquely you. And you remain that way all through eternity. You may change some of your dark (I don’t want to call them “dark”) idiosyncrasies as you progress, but there were lessons garnered. There were experiences that should be cherished, because your anger was your crown, your biggest explosion of energy, not to be looked down upon. Maybe it wasn’t smart, but it was a learning. The goody-two-shoes isn’t the most respected being. The Caspar Milquetoast doesn’t gird up his loins and win a war.

Too much pacivity makes for a stagnant river. Go with the flow and hit the rocks. A bumpy ride is a ride well remembered. Be you, whatever that is – an angry you, a happy you, a nutty you. Just be. I am there present no matter what you do or think or say. Shakespeare said it best – “The play’s the thing.” So be the actor no one can follow, but be.

Don’t park these words in a book and say, “Oh, well.” Study them, review them, absorb them, and pass them on.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a judgmental, vengeful, punishing God. I love each and every part of Myself with boundless love, with boundless dreams and hopes, and with boundless understanding, because you’re all a part of Me.
