To the Star Seed From a
World Far Away

Dost thou wonder why you came
into a body of clay,
to stare and wonder at a sun-lit day,
to feel and ponder all the mêlée,
to love and cherish another of clay?

Cherish, love, wonder and live each precious day,
to stare at the stars in their splendor of light.
Think of the many things that here give delight.

Then to go home with memories intact
knowing only too well you were part of the act,
a play so wonderful to learn and react.

Come glory, come shame, come courage, come fear,
for every member is learning so dear.
Your soul goes on to learn anew,
but all that you’ve learned remains part of you.
